Bidra med feedbackVery big meal with excellent meat! It's quite cheap considering how much food you have in your plate. Even for kids, it's cheap and good, with big plates and good ice cream. The mayonnaise and whipped cream are homemade. Excellent!
This is the sort of food you read about in guides to travelling in France but so rarely see these days. From the whole terrine put on the table for you to slice, through the giant jar of gherkins, the large jambon Persille, the whole cheeses for you to cut from... and not forgetting the whole Cote de boeuf for two, cooked on a wood fire, so tender and cooked as you like it, not as the chef dictates... all I can say is we're going back. Good wines on a list rich in Hautes Cotes treasures. All in rather basic surroundings, but with an honesty that extends through the faultless service. Yes,I could easily find flaws, but why should I want to? There are some experiences you just want to preserve as memories...
Great great little hidden gem, family run and it shows in the care they take of the clients. The food was authentic and delicious and we loved every moment of our time here, came back for lunch the day after!
We have been to this restaurant a few times before, we knew that it was under new management but were informed that the food was still good. We had an excellent dinner, We both had sirloin steaks cooked in front of us and they were delicious. The service was very friendly and efficient - what more could one want!!
We've eaten lunch here perhaps a dozen times and never tire of the warm intimate atmosphere with an open cooking fire along one of the walls. We understand that there's a new owner but we've not noticed any significant difference -- service and food are still everything we could want. The clientele seem mostly to be working locals from the villages up and down the Cote du Nuits.
