Bidra med feedbackThe restaurant has been on a decline over the past few years. The service tonight was extremely poor and did not justify the high prices. Our large group (20-30 people) waited over an hour for below average food (pizza and tapas dishes) after placing multiple orders over the course of three hours. Another table of 8 also experienced a long wait for their meals, leading to growing frustration. When questioned about the delay, the wait staff denied any issue. The restaurant, located in a prime spot in Mackay on the Pioneer River, was nearly empty on a Friday night, reflecting poorly on the management. Unless there are changes in ownership, we will not be returning for at least a year. It is time for some competition to give customers a better dining experience than what this restaurant is currently providing.
We got to the Cafe fairly early and ordered. The food was delivered within a reasonable amount of time. My wife had a Gluten Free Musseli Bowl which she liked, and I had Eggs Benedict with salmon, which was kind of average . The place filled up right after we got there. We ended up asking for our bill so that we could leave and free up another table.
We had a wonderful lunch at this fantastic restaurant, overlooking the Pioneer River on a beautiful winter day. The menu was extensive and the lunch specials were affordable and came in large portions. The staff were very polite and attentive to our needs, making our time there very pleasant. Thank you for a great experience.
We have visited this café several times for breakfast and it is a beautiful spot with so much potential. However, the service here is terrible and the management does not seem to care. Despite the restaurant not being too busy on our visits, it always takes a long time for the wait staff to take our orders. Last Saturday morning, we waited approximately 30 minutes for them to return after my husband had to chase them up at the counter to let them know we were ready to order. The waitress then proceeded to take the order of the table next to us that had just been seated, which was the final straw for us. We have given this place multiple chances, but we cannot continue to support it. We eventually walked out, as did the table next to us. It is unlikely that this place will still be operating in a few months with such slow service, not even for something as simple as a cup of coffee.
My partner and I had lunch at this cafe on the river. A wonderful spot to sit and watch the afternoon go by. Unfortunately that was the only positive. Drinks were ordered and took far too long. When they arrived, one was not as ordered. It was taken away and I waited about 5 minutes before the correct one came! The first meal arrived with the second following around 4 minutes later. Both were not exactly as ordered. My partner had to flag the waitress twice during our meal to order another beer. Not once did she come back to ask if we needed more drinks. We were not even offered dessert and I had to go up to the servery to ask if I could order one. The food was quite good with the calamari being very fresh. My partner's all day breaky was very filling. Dessert of chocolate cheesecake was yummy apart from the drizzled caramel sauce covering the plate. Unfortunately due to almost non existent service we will not return. This could have been a pleasant afternoon looking at the river whilst eating lunch, but it was marred by us having to chase up service.
