Gostilna Krhne - Vipava

I was taken on a truly imersive culinary journey visiting this beautiful gem. From the first step into this charming atmosphere, everything was right. The decor seems to perfectly compliment the locality as do the fresh, seasonal ingredients amalgamated into these classic, meticulously presented dishes.The complete highlight was the peerless service. Our host, Eric elevated the dining experience without the menu and patiently accommodated even the most demanding one of us. He knew everything about anything related to this meal. I was most fascinated by his knowledge about wine, which he often delivers through their somelier masterclass. His heart is in this restaurant, obvious to anyone and the passion is contagious. Needless to say I will be coming back. Soon.

We went there for a quick lunch but decided to trust our hosts’ recommendations instead. They guided us through Slovenia’s food and wine culture with joy, expertise, and professional service. An exceptional experience! In town center, charming restaurant offers a limited seating in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant turned out to be my best experience in the region so far. Thanks to Chef Žabar. I am happy that we let him introduce us to his vision with set of dishes. And what a vision! Each course had extremely well put together flavors and textured that made perfect harmony. Each meal with something original and well-thought-out, some in house produced. All ingredients locally produced or picked. Some of the things I have never tried anywhere, like picked wild garlic flowers, and it blew my mind. Excellent service. Definite must try recommendation to all my friends, business partners and acquaintance. Let your self be surprised in the perfect slow food experience. Not to be missed! Personally will come back to try new menu when introduced.

If Krhne would be located in my hometown, I would eat there every month. Yesterday we had a splendid luch of 4 courses at Krhne, including a nice section of wines. We were pleasantly surprised by the very high level (and looks) of the food served, the wines that came with it, the rustic and spacious ambiance of the restaurant ánd the excellent service. 100% recommendation for a brilliant eating experience in Vipava!

What a find! The whole atmosphere was incredible music, art, space and design. The waiter was incredible very knowledgable, kind and friendly but also so professional! He listened to our wishes and helped us with the choice. Wine was excellent, great choices. I love that everything was local. The food was so incredible that I would say its my favorite meal in a very long time. We tried three pastas and tagliata with potatos and vegetables. Incredible! And the prices were fair! I cannot wait to go back!! Highly recommend!
