Black Bear Diner - Visalia

My knife had a hard time cutting the ribs. You could have run them over with a car. And the car wouldn 't smash them. Spoke to management. Asked if I could substitute or get something different. The reply was simply. I agree the ribs are tough however. There 's nothing that I can do. And she choose to just throw it away. Sorry case for management level. I would steer clear of the place.

I love everything about this place, the service is great and so is the food. I always order the Santa Maria tri-tip, it’s my personal favorite but they have many options. The prices match the food, it’s a few more dollars than ihop or Dennys, but the quality of the food is better. I come here 2 a month, it’s a must.

I want to thank Misty and Robert for their outstanding customer service at this restaurant. My favorite dish is The Grizz served with hot coffee. The food here is incredibly delicious. I highly recommend trying their desserts as they are all equally amazing. Personally, I love the Chocolate Cream pie. This is by far my favorite breakfast spot in Visalia.

I'd give 5 stars because their food is good, but I decided to rate it 1 because of their customer service. I made an online order through their actual website for delivery and they delivered half my order only. When I called to let them know they refused to believe that I didn't receive my actual order. I spoke with the manager, he didn't bother to apologize even after I explained to them that the order I received was 20$ less than what my card was charged and that included taxes. The manager kept trying to explain that they didn't make a mistake but unfortunately they did. I still didn't receive an apology nor did they bother to help fix the problem or anything. I will just save the receipt for what they delivered so I can start at a claim with my bank to correct the charge.

Saturday morning may have just been a bad time.... Wait-staff were plenty at one for every three tables. Service was fair with very few check-ups after food delivery. Food was warm on delivery, not hot. Several other tables with similar complaints. Personalities of staff were polite, friendly, and personable. Maybe just a bad day?
