Las Brisas Mexican Cuisine - Vista

(Update: we put a dispute on our credit card...owner is fighting it. In their argument to our bank, they told our bank that they tried to contact us about the order, several times. Note that in the initial owner response to my original post, no mention of trying to contact us. We can easily go to cell phone records to look for missed calls that did not happen. So in a situation where restaurant was not answering their phone all day, and has no voice mail set up, was closed on a day that their stated business hours said they would be open, they told our bank that we should be responsible for the charge because they tried to contact us. Pretty ironic. Again, Beware of Using This Establishment for Catering. )Beware of catering. We ordered from this restaurant a few days in advance for a New Years Eve gathering for about 15 people. They charged our credit card, but when we showed up on New Years Eve the restaurant was closed. The restaurant was dark and no one answered the phone. We had to scramble last minute to order food somewhere else for our party. No sign on the door, no message on the phone, just closed.To owner response: we had no way to know you would make this order since you were closed when we went over a few times during the day. We could not leave a message (we tried calling several times) and no one answered the phone. You also did not tell us you would be closed that day and and you never called us to tell us the order was ready. We had no choice but to assume you would not make the order, and had to scramble last minute to order from somewhere else.

It was taco Tuesday so I ended up order 6 tacos along with the taco salad for my wife, all were delicious.

This is the best Mexican food in North County as they make you feel at home and like family when you dine here. They have the best carnitas , enchiladas suizas and chilaquiles and especially great with their green salsa They also make a killer albondigas, flautas and shrimp tacos . So love mama and papa who run the restaurant with their heart and raised some incredible kids (son is super nice and personable handling the front end as a partner with his dad, the chef). Muy delicioso !

Went in tonight and ordered a two item combo for $15. Thought it was a bit pricey but heard good things. Nice spacious dining room area with booths. Good atmosphere and off the street so pleasant. Gentlemen at counter very cordial. Did not take them to much time to make it and off I went to eat it at home. The refried beans and rice were the best I have had in sometime and they did not skimp on them. My crispy beef taco was excellent along with a very good chicken enchilada. This is very good quality stuff with nice size portions, you will not be disappointed. Just found my local Mexican go-to. Nice job guys!

Fresh and tasty Taco salad which I got with chicken! The chips and salsa were good too. A decent family owned Mexican restaurant, not the most extravagant, but good cuisine.
