The Mix Cafe - Waco

I discovered this restaurant on Google Maps while searching for a healthy dining option. When we arrived and saw it was located in a small strip mall, we were a bit uncertain about its quality. However, sometimes hidden gems can surprise you! I'm pleased to say that this place is definitely worth a visit! The staff was friendly, the food was outstanding, and even though the decor is quite simple, the atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and inviting. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in Waco!

This charming little cafe is quite inviting. The place was clean, the cashier/server was friendly, and the food was served quickly. They offer some unique dishes on their menu, and I really enjoyed my caprese avocado. However, the other items I tried—the tomato basil soup, chicken tortilla soup, and chicken pesto sandwich—didn't leave a lasting impression. The portions felt a bit small for the price, and the soup tasted like something I could easily find at a supermarket. Despite that, the overall experience was pleasant, and everything tasted decent. I would definitely consider returning to explore more of their menu!

This is an excellent option for anyone looking for something healthy! The food tasted homemade. I ordered the hot turkey avocado chipotle sandwich on jalapeño cheddar bread ($9) and added grilled Brussels sprouts ($5). They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. I placed a takeout order through ChowNow and was very satisfied with my experience.

Great food and great customer service! Due to an autoimmune disease, it is a challenge to find restaurant food that is on my limited diet. The Mix had healthy options for me and it tasted soooooo good! The staff went above and beyond to accommodate myneeds and did it with a smile! I had the California Girl burrito on corn tortillas with a side of fruit--delicious! I highlyrecommend and we will certainly make this a new favorite in Waco.

The lovely woman I dined with was very pleased with her Stuffed Avocado and Salmon Basket, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Dr. Pepper Brisket Texas Toast Sandwich. They serve fries that looked delicious, but I wasn't sure when the order came with chips instead of fries. Overall, it was a great experience with a friendly staff and a clean, quick service. I will definitely be returning!
