Surfside - Wadebridge

The Surf Side is a lot of fun! Great rum cocktails (which is hard to find in the UK). Staff is young, but attentive. We came here 2 of our 4 nights in town (would have been 3 nighs, but they were closed for a staff event one night). We had burgers and a LOT of cocktails! Jen prepared a fantastic cocktail for me, and Rosa and Josie were incredibly helpful. This place is wonderful, and I definitely plan on returning! The average cost per person is around £10–£20, with excellent food, service, and atmosphere all rated a 5. I recommend trying their pint of Cider.

Surfside is a fantastic spot for a night out! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a view of Polzeath beach (try to catch the sunset, it's stunning!) and the outdoor bar serves delicious rum cocktails while you enjoy live entertainment, ranging from lively sea shanties to mellow acoustic covers. The only downside is the limited dinner menu options. I tried the vegan chilli which was good value for money, but lacked a bit of flavor and spice. The small plates, especially the padron peppers, were tasty though. The cocktails are top notch! Free parking is available on Polzeath Beach after 6pm with plenty of spaces. The mussels were delicious and the service was excellent. The cost per person ranges from £20 to £30. The food rated a 3 out of 5, while the service and atmosphere both received a perfect score of 5.

Beautiful location, often great atmosphere but it’s so often difficult to buy a drink with the small bar six people deep and the back bar closed, we’ve gone elsewhere so many times, another outside bar downstairs maybe or keep both bars open so customers can actually buy a drink, especially when it’s seasonal, rethink your interior design and bar service.
