Bidra med feedbackI was very disappointed tonight. My husband and I went there tonight to get pretzels and ice cream. We arrived 25 minutes before we closed and the lady behind the counter said they stopped selling hot food at 7:30 (since when). Ut was pretty obvious that she wanted to get out early because they ended up closing at 7:51. This really stunk for the family of 6+ who tried to come at 7:53. Dairy Queen must be rolling in the money of they can afford to turn away business like this.
I 'm so sad to report our favorite place for 'treats ' has struck out SIX times in a row. We love the blizzards although they aren 't cheap and it 's a five-7 min wait regardless they have had a constant turn over in employees and not one of them has been kind or made a proper blizzard. Today I went back as my super shy daughter got the courage to go in an order and came out with a vanilla Oreo blizzard. She said Thank you Mommy but this isn 't what I ordered I ordered a MINT and this doesn 't taste mint. I tried it and nope... so the kids in front of me had a mint Oreo and it was GREEN so I confirmed that is what the mint was supposed to look like. I told the girl who made them and after arguing with me she took the cup added something to ours and stuck it in the machine that blends them.unfortunately I 'm SUPER SICK then she plopped it down on the counter. There was a swirl of green on the top but see for yourself... I just don 't get it?? Why is it so hard?
I usually always come to this location when I am in Waimea. Today I was going to go and get something when I noticed a employee scratching her head and flipping her hair constantly while making ice cream for customers. Having a past in the fast food industry, that's just gross. Seeing this made myself and my whole family go across the street to McDonalds to get ice cream. At least I wouldn't get hair in my food.
I've been visiting this restaurant for the past month, and there’s a staff member who has consistently made my experience unpleasant. He is quite rude, often yelling at customers, and it’s clear he dislikes his job. I understand that everyone has to work, but it’s disappointing. The smoothies also seem to taste inconsistent, even when I order the same one every time, which is frustrating. My friends who also frequent this place have noticed his behavior and agree that it's off-putting. I really love Dairy Queen, but this guy makes ordering such an uncomfortable experience that my girlfriend often asks me to place the order just to avoid his rudeness. It's really unfortunate.
It's just another Dairy Queen, but what sets this location apart is the smile of their employee, Amelia. She was delightful and had a sparkling personality. With the right opportunities, she has the potential to go far. The service was friendly and efficient. The Dilly Bar was fantastic, filled with plenty of ice cream, and reasonably priced as well.
