Bidra med feedbackTo be honest, it was one of the best philly subs I've ever had my whole life and they really use paprika wobbles and provolone cheese. it came out, piping hot and I love the fact that they have several offers for fried kartoffels including active bags that I absolutely love. I was there for lunch and they were clearly short-circuited so that my time was extended for the sitting and waiting for it and I did not blame the personal himself and I understand the dynamics of him, but this is the reason for three stars on the service.
This was our second and last time eating here. The first time I got a Rueben and it was delicious but oily- so this time I asked for it to be lightly buttered. I must’ve insulted the chef- the bread was barely toasted and with the sauce (too watery) became complete mush- I had to use fork and knife to eat it! My onion rings were mediocre lukewarm. My husband got fish and chips- the fish was good but lacked seasoning, the tartar sauce was inedible, just mayonnaise with relish, the coleslaw looked like potato/egg salad and way too sweet and inedible. The best thing we ate was the steak fries- perfectly cooked and delicious. My daughters kids meal was chicken tenders- it’s for an adult, the chicken was the size of the fish- not for kids chicken tenders. We paid $50 for a severely disappointing late lunch/early dinner. Even if they asked how was the food- I didn’t feel comfortable complaining because I think the chef would retaliate. I think the only people who eat here are extremely loyal customers/regulars and not willing to speak up about the bad food and have settled. We usually go to Hibernian which has really good food but it’s further away- we learned out lesson this time and not taking chances again.
I gave this first visit to Pat Murnane's Irish Pub three starts due to a couple of issues with the food. I'm hoping my future visits are better. The Ruben was good except for the fact it was dripping with liquid (likely from the sauerkraut) which made the lower slice of bread soaking wet and mushy. As I ate the sandwich liquid was dripping out and made a large puddle on the plate. There was plenty of good corned beef in the sandwich. Fries were good, as was the cup of Irish stew. Also, the coke had a strong chlorine flavor, which I'm sure is due to the local city water. Would a charcoal filter help at the soda machine? I will return for another visit and hope these two issues were an anomaly.
So after checking several of our more regular restaurants for a Saturday evening dinner and finding all of them packed to the gills with lines out the door we decided to give Pat Murnane's a chanceParking lot had a few cars but not overcrowded as we entered the pub area was about a third build we were shown to the dining area there was one party maybe 10 folks who already had their food and one other couple sitting at a small paperOur 4 made up the second group in the dining area and then a second couple joined about 15 minutes lateThe one waitress who was handling the dining area did not seem to be in a hurry about anything and seem to be extremely overwhelmedThis did not prevent her from spending most of the time when she wasn't walking by tables avoiding looking and making eye contact on her phone at the weight standWhen she did interact she was polite and pleasant but was definitely not service oriented in the glasses were ignored and there was no serious inquiry as to how the food or the experience was goingSpeaking of the food everything was delicious and cold and/or slightly overcooked the sauces and flavors were impeccable delicious flavorful but everything had a leftover taste because obviously it was either precooked and not brought up the temperature or it was set on the station to deliver the tables and the waitress just couldn't handle the volumeOne couple made a very pronounced loud complaint to the manager half-heartedly apologized and maintained a look of boredom and obvious contempt for the woman's complaint he quickly gathered their food up obviously microwaved it and brought it back within 30 seconds quickest thing that happened all nightThe pub area in the meantime had totally filled up and it did not look like much food was going that direction so whatever the problem is is either in the kitchen or the before mentioned disinterested overworked wait stuffDefinitely would recommend this place if you're going into the bar services speedy quick and obviously the emphasis family dining I'd have to say pass
Second time I've dined here. Love the food and the service is on point.
