Cap'n Jack's - Wakefield

Have not had dinner yet but I'm sure if it's anything like the dessert it has to be wonderful, can't wait to go back ?

Stopped in Saturday night for an early dinner. Waitress was very nice..friendly. Not crowded at all. We ordered white clam chowder and clam cakes, as well as, a fried clam roll. The chowder was watery, lacked flavor with very few clams but loaded with potatoes. Clam cakes were ok. Fried clams tasted like they had been reheated Wouldn’t rush back.

Stopped in for lunch wanted some lobster! They didn't have steamed lobster, got a lobster Roll. My husband had fish and chips , we sampled steamers and clam cakes . Everything was pretty good , however was not impressed with lobster roll ! It was tasteless and not fresh.

The more things change,the more things remain the same!! Excellent prices and food!

Warning: Do not eat at this place! As soon as you walk in, a terrible smell seems to have been covered up with bleach. I should have left immediately. The oysters were awful they were not cleaned or shucked correctly, so they had mud and shells and were a complete mangled mess. The tuna was clearly frozen, tasted like nothing, and had the weirdest texture. The clams were like leather, and the coleslaw that came with them had gone off at least a week prior. I literally gagged when I smelled it. The truffle tater tots are a joke! cheap tots with 5 pieces of old shaved parm on it. To top it off, we got food poisoning even though we only took 1 bite of everything. It is literally overpriced, GARBAGE!!!! Vile, disgusting food. I have no idea how anyone who ate here could give this place a rating higher than 1 star.
