Bidra med feedbackIf Caesar had spent a bit too much time in the sun, he'd be Orange Julius. In fact, isn't that what they call Trump? More fittingly, perhaps, the "Orange Puppet of the 1%." Despite the artificial taste and the abundance of chemicals and sugars in their products, I actually enjoy Orange Julius. The concept is appealing, though it can be a bit pricey, and some items are quite disappointing. However, there are also some that are really enjoyable. So, I'll give this location a neutral three stars, even though I've only visited it once, located inside the world's largest truck stop in Iowa.
It’s located next to a Dairy Queen. I enjoyed the food and the Blizzard. The service was quick!
How good can a truck stop be? Well, this good. It's actually like a mini mall in a truck stop. Any, auto supplies you might need they have. I kind of wish they had a diner with homemade food and maybe baked their own stuff as well. IT's not that this place really has unique items, just that they have A LOT of stuff. Regardless, worth visiting. I didn't even pay attention to whether or not the gas is priced well. They have ironically cool shirts though....
I did not expect this stop to be so big!! I mean, it literally says the largest truck stop and I just underestimated it. Talk about heaven for anyone stuck in a car more than an hour!! I entered the building and kept wondering when it was ever going to stop! The bathrooms were clean, the service was nice, and the options of food/tourist items/emergency car items is ridiculously great. If you are driving through, I highly recommend.
Social distancing and masks are required at this truck stop following COVID guidelines. It really is big! Plenty of bathrooms, gas pumps, and parking for a nice rest from your road trip. They had multiple fast food places inside in a food court styled area. The snack area had snacks out the ying yang!! I was excited to see many snacks I have yet to try, and also many snacks that you don't usually find at smaller gas station stores. They also have plenty of shopping, souvenirs, and cool little knick knacks to look at. I would not say that this is the most adventurous and exciting place (if you are looking for some REAL fun, the truck museum next door is where you want to go), but it definitely gets the blood flowing back into your legs after that 12 hour drive, and it really is a cool little experience if you want to make it one!
