Walkerville Yiros & Take-Away

Great takeaway food very fresh and free delivery to the Watson hotel for orders over $15. Open 7 days. Till late.

The takeaway is located on Walkerville Terrace about half way between The Watson and the Sussex Hotel in Walkerville. We stopped by for dinner on a warm Adelaide evening. The takeaway offers in and outdoor seating. It is operated by a Greek family and the food reflects this. The Greek salad was fresh with lovely kalamata olives and traditional goat feta. The meats were juicy and very tasty, not dry or too fatty. The chips were cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and warm. The focus here is on doing the simple things very well.

Home cooked Greek food including yiros, soups, spanakopita, meatballs, moussaka and more. Always fresh and delicious. Excellent home made sweets. Friendly service. Eat in or take away.

Authentic yiros made by authentic Greek ladies who know what they are doing. I can also recommend their yiros plates, where you get the makings in a take away container.

I've brought my boys here a few times as they like the yiros and we sit in the casual eating area which overlooks the footpath.
