Shogun Legends - Wall Township

Our mini-Yelp group gathered once more for our bi-monthly dinner, and this time we opted for Shogun Legends. We decided on a traditional dinner instead of hibachi (perhaps next time...).

Always exceptional, this restaurant offers the best Asian fusion cuisine in the area. Their version of Peking Duck is a must-try, making it a fantastic dish to share with friends.

I absolutely loved the decor! The fish tank is truly spectacular! The waitstaff was professional and attentive without being intrusive. We began our meal with Kumamoto oysters...

To make matters worse, our server was less than attentive. We frequently had to flag down other staff members just to place our orders, and our original server kept forgetting what we had ordered. Not once did anyone check on how we liked our meal. Additionally, two of our entrees arrived 15 minutes after the others, only coming out after we asked several of the other waitstaff to follow up on our order. When we expressed our concerns to the manager regarding the poor quality of food and service, we were taken aback by how unprofessional he was. He responded with rudeness and insensitivity, saying, "What do you expect in a time when good service is hard to come by in the industry?" There was no apology or acknowledgment of our dissatisfaction—just defensiveness. We've heard that the owner has become quite absent, which may be contributing to the poor management and service. For such an expensive meal, there are plenty of other delicious Asian restaurants in the area that offer a similar atmosphere, far superior food, and much better service. We do not recommend wasting your money here, and we certainly will not be returning. We hope the management can improve so that future diners have a better experience.
