Buckhorn Grill - Walnut Creek

Buckhorn has good sandwiches. I really enjoy their salads. They offer some interesting combinations and because they have good steaks and chicken, I add meat to the salad for my protein. Your regular salads are large so that you want to get half the salad.

I ordered Buckhorn Tri Tip sandwich with grilled onions. I never asked how to cook my meat. The meat was pink and I prefer well made and they forgot to add grilled onions so that they gave it to me in a plastic container. I speak very much about Walnut Creek and this service has a bad taste in my mouth.

I agree that quality has certainly fallen. I ordered meat medium and got meat that was good as you can see. The Yik Yak salad was once full of different vegetables and cabbage and now 3/4 of them is iceberg salad. The sauce was not so spicy or tasteful, it was watered down or changed. This is the second time that I ordered a take-out/pick-up and the meat was overcooked. Really unhappy with these last, probably last experiences here. The first and best time that I had a yikyak salad from Buckhorn was in SF, and that was for sit down food.maybe order take-out is code for ? Give them the left meat and vegetables?, while the best is reserved for sitting dunes, the pay tips for the service. disappointing. I wish management would take this into account and make changes.

Quality has gone down over the years. The tri tip isn't as tasty. The flavor of the meat is usually overpowered by the condiments rather than being complimentary. Service is good tho and food comes out pretty quickly and is cooked well.
