Ridgewood Barbecue - Walterhill

I like Ridgewood, however the last time I got their BBQ, it had way too much fat in it. I was chewing and had to stop and pull the slivers of fat out.....trying not to be noticeable! The slaw was good and the fries as well. The servings are large and greatly appreciated. Like others stated, the parking is atrocious and dangerous. We made the drive twice only to find it closed. So we were pleasantly surprised to find it open and managed to get seated pretty quickly.

My friends raved about this place so had to try it out. I did enjoy the bbq meats, the baked beans were solid too, but believe it or not, the Bleu Cheese Bowl it where it’s at. Very unique dish and it’s delectable. Portions are humongous so you better come hungry! Also watch out for wait times at this place as they are poppin’!

The absolute BEST BBQ in the state of Tennessee, wonderful atmosphere, best prices. Have been eating there for years.

I’ve been here twice and neither time was good! First time (about June 2021): came on Saturday for lunch to see a sign saying the place had been rented out for a wedding. Sorry! Second time (last week): We tried lunch again on Tuesday. We arrived to see a sign posted saying that orders accepted only for carry out. Several people were eating from cars, tailgates, etc. I ordered a BBQ Sandwich, Fries, a small blue cheese dip, and two orders of BBQ beans for my wife and I to split. (No drinks) It … – show
