Bidra med feedbackI've come to expect fairly decent quality from the Westin brand so I was super nervous to book this place based on the really bad reviews on Yelp. I ended up very pleased with my experience. The room was super clean though a little cramped with the amount of furniture they had in it. I would have removed at least one of the chairs by the window to make more room but otherwise a very solid clean room is what I got. The facility is really nice, looked clean and the on site restaurant was a neat feature though I didn't visit the restaurant. Parking was at a cost but I should have taken my chances paying whatever the parking prices were because hotel charged me for parking yet when I left the parking lot there was no barrier to stop me from leaving hence no payment seemed to be required. I feel a bit ripped off paying for parking when I could have probably parked for free. Not a bad hotel at all and within a good proximity to the general Boston area if you don't want to pay the $500/night in the heart of Boston.
I grew up coming to this hotel. It was my favorite hotel on the east coast. I recently stayed there again for the first time in years and I was so so disappointed. Mind you I 'm easy as Sunday morning. The bathroom in our room didn 't have any body wash, and our blankets had a massive blood stain on it that we saw the next morning. Sickening. The staff said that looks fresh as if I left it there. I think I 'd know if I was bleeding out on my hotel bed. I mean see the photos. Really stinks that this place took a turn for the worst. You 're better off going somewhere else. Hate to say it, but really.
Great location, nice clean room, quiet and free parking. Beds were very cozy and they have a restaurant on the premises. I recommend if you want to save some money and not stay in Boston, this is a great alternative.
Wish I had read the reviews first. Stayed there last Saturday night. I asked at check in to be placed in a quiet room. The desk agent placed us in a room two doors away from the elevator and across from the utility closet. Went back to the front desk and asked again for a quiet room, agent said she had no idea the room was so close to the elevator. We were moved three doors down in the same hallway. The room though small was nice. We went out to enjoy dinner and a movie. When we returned I thought there were people talking outside our door. After over 20 minutes of this I went to check and it was voices traveling through the air vents. The next morning we discovered the remote for the TV would not change off of the Marriott/Bonvoy channel. Went to shower and found mold on the ceiling in the shower. Also the bathroom fan/vent didn 't work. Checking out the people in front of us were complaining about their horrible experience. The same agent who checked us in also checked us out. Completey unphased hearing about the problems in the room. She didn 't even look away from the computer screen to acknowledge I was ther talking with her. She couldn 't even say I am sorry you didn 't have a great experience staying at our Westin. I used to love the Westin Brand, now I will read the local reviews and not stay at the Westin Waltham again. The Westin Waltham is not where you want to stay.
Holy cow this place has gone downhill. Used to be best hotel in Waltham. No recognition as an Ambassidor member. Garage elevator broken. No room service. Restaurant not open till 5. Plastic glasses in room.
