Bidra med feedbackWe came here for ice cream. After taste testing the award winning flavours, clear front runner was the dulce de leche!!! Waffle cones here are also HUGE. Good feed!
We found out the hard way that it closes early everyday (5pm). We came by on the way back from Treble Cone to re energise. The chocolate lava cake was really nice and tasty, as was the chocolate ice cream.<br/ <br/ Similar to what you get at Queenstown.
Continuing on with my quest to find ‘different’ hot chocolates during my trip to New Zealand, I visited Patagonia in Wanaka (after my failed attempt in Queenstown to try their ginger hot chocolate. Feeling a little peckish after a walk along the lake edge and working up (what I thought was an appetite, I ordered the ginger hot chocolate and a serve of churros. The problem was the churros. Or maybe it was the fact I had a sweet, chocolate drink and sweet (huge churros. Or the dark chocolate sauce I ordered with the churros. Sugar and chocolate overload :
I have a soft spot for Patagonia’s dark chocolate and macadamia ice cream and is one of my favourite flavours which you cannot get this flavour anywhere else except at Patagonia Chocolates in either of their Queenstown, Wanaka and Arrowtown. No other ice cream maker makes this flavour (that I have seen). The closest I have seen is maple walnuts. There are certainly other flavours which have also won awards for. <br/ <br/ Patagonia Chocolates also offers a selection of made to order desserts, coffee and tea, and chocolates in which you can opt to eat in or take away.<br/ <br/ Please check out my website for an indepth review.
Outstanding icecream! World class. We had the Award hazelnut cremino and the always fabulous cookies n cream. The cones were just as tasty as the ice creams.
