Bidra med feedbackLiving locally there are quiet a few coffee shops in Highton Village. I was having a “work meeting” over a coffee around 11:00 am. My coffee arrived, immediately I put a sugar in it and took a sip. So much for the 63 degrees it was lucky to be luke warm. Professionally I have a water temperature thermometer to test the temp of hot water services, so I know what liquid temperatures feel like. I left the coffee sit, finished our work and departed. So $6.00 wasted, for gaining the knowledge that I will never eat or have a coffee there in the future. These places need to consider that it is after earning $12 I have money to spend on their most expensive coffee in Highton Village.
The service at this cafe has declined, eg forgetting our order, staff needing to be reminded to clean the table and remove previous patrons' dishes. Some of the staff are grumpy in our experience. Food is average.
The coffee was overcooked and unpalatable. The muffin lacked any substantial texture and crumbled into inedible pieces when touched by either a fork or finger. The staff appeared unable to handle constructive criticism discreetly. I left feeling disappointed.
Best café I have been to in a long time! Usually I’ll compromise poor disinterested service for a great coffee but at 63 Degrees Highton, you get the best of both worlds! Friendliest staff who are interested in their customers and have clearly established relationships with their regulars. I’ve only just moved to Geelong and am loving having this place to visit on weekends. Best smashed avo (and bacon) I’ve had in a cafe and delicious coffee always. Thank you 63 Degrees!!
I visited this restaurant for a coffee and toast brunch after my morning swim. The staff were very friendly, the coffee and toast were delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for sitting back, relaxing, and reading the newspaper. This has become my favorite spot.
