I was really excited to find this placeI took a walk here while my laundry was drying at the MarinaI tried the pierogi's from the cafe window.
Beautiful delicious asian food with very good service and reasonable price. I am a big fan of her biryani and pasta. Existing place to have high quality food in a low price.
Do not let his tired external / inside bring! Go through the doors and you will be greeted with a friendly smile and the aroma of lush Mamak food! Reasonable price, good serving and taste as good as at home! Will certainly be back several times.
I have been to Malaysia and Singapore many times. The first thing I head for is roti with curry gravy. It is always made to order and so arrives steaming hot and flaky.Back in Australia most of my 'roti-hunting' has been disappointing. You can tell when it is not freshly-cooked.Imagine my surprise when a few weeks ago I stumbled upon Sai Cloves, an unprepossessing little cafe in a suburban shopping area. I usually make at least two trips before reviewing an eatery. This second time the roti was made to order-you can see it being made-so arrived just as it should do, straight from the hot plate! The curries are in a bain-marie with plenty of choice of both meat and vegetarian. Over the two visits I had both. I'm not a fan of this type of presentation, but this cafe is set up for fast service, catering mostly to the lunchtime crowd. It is also very cheap. A Thali with 3 small curries and basmati rice, a pappadom and a roti cost the princely sum of $13!Sai Cloves is not fancy, in fact it is a bit scruffy and the 'decor' is very basic. however for your fix of roti and some tasty curries this is a great spot.
