Pitari's Cafe Centro - Wangaratta

It was a busy Good Friday morning at this cafe, which we took as a good sign. We had a basic breakfast of thick fruit toast and coffee. While there wasn't much to mess up, the service was quick, the toast was cooked properly, and the coffee was good.

This a great place for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake. I love their vegetarian focaccia and they have a great european cake selection, reminding me of the Acland Street cake shops.

The owner produced such sludge of a coffee and tried to pass it off as expresso. On challenging him to try again I was abused as someone who doesn't know Italian coffee. I live in the Italian section of Sydney. The man was rude and wanted me out of the shop. Disgusting service and coffee. Avoid.

For the price of over $16, I received a mass-produced pie and two sausage rolls with two side portions of sauce. The food was not gourmet quality. It is not worth the price.

Stopped here for a quick lunch. Female staff were welcoming, friendly
