The Red Lion - Warmington

What a charming village pub! Visited yesterday with family for a New Year catch up. Bar was busy and restaurants were full- lovely to see such a bustling space and sense of community- great vibes all round! Good vegan options and offered to do me a “vegan roast” which is actually just what us vegans want to see on a menu. Lovely seasonal veg and some gravy. Easily pleased! Staff were all lovely and accommodating. Will definitely return, thank you!

We ended up here fortuitously as The Black Lion down the road was fully booked but they recommended we try The Red Lion instead. We’re super grateful for the recommendation as we ended up having an awesome Sunday lunch! The food was excellent; great Yorkshire’s and proper gravy, and the team were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend!

[edit] kept me a promise to return to food, and I was not disappointed. We have sung with friends that we haven't seen for over five years, and it was the ideal choice to recover from a beautiful meal. A warm and welcoming welcome from all employees, in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered drinks from the bar and immediately sat in the dining room. Menus and specialties of the day were provided. Although it was pretty busy, we never felt cramped or that it was too loud as it could be in other settings. The layout of the tables made our group of four feelings, we had private food, also occupied with any other table. We chose Pate (x2), mussels and engraving, followed by Red Lion Burger, Pasta parmigiana, fish and chips and duck. For dessert, Rhabarb crumb cake, sticky toffee pudding. All dishes came sharp with perfect timing. Our servers were always available for drinks, but never float ominous. The food here is excellent. Really. I haven't eaten it well for some time. A great thank you to Phil, John and her staff for having an evening to remember for all the right reasons. What the personal touch must be. You have just expanded the outdoor seating area, and I am happy to come back when it is warmer to enjoy some fine al fresco restaurants. [1. Review] We visited a birthday function here in the beer garden. What a beautiful pub that is. They even had a pizza van that made delicious fresh pizzas. The staff were efficient and extremely helpful and friendly, always on hand, and from the comments I heard from other diners in the pub, everyone had enjoyed their meals. I will definitely return with my family.

What can I say, we popped in yesterday for lunch what a great experience. New boss and his staff gave us a warm welcome and after looking at the menu chose lamb chops. The meal was presented to a high standard and was very tasty. Will certainly be returning soon.

Took Mum for her favourite pub meal. New owners recently took over the pub and it was clear they are making big efforts to ensure the regular customers and new customers are looked after. I really enjoyed the food, in fact it was delicious! Just feedback from Mum (who is a regular) she thought the plate could have been hotter, to keep her food warmer for longer.
