Metro Diner - Warminster

We had a great time dining here. We found the food to be quite good, with a variety of wonderful options on the menu. One standout was the delightfully unconventional grilled bacon and tomato cheese sandwich, which we thought was more like a burger than a sandwich. They also offer lunch specials and flavored coffee every day. However, the coffee wasn't our favorite part of the meal; I wouldn't go so far as to call it bad, but it definitely cost them a star in our rating. Additionally, the food was a bit greasier than I would prefer, but it didn't detract significantly from our overall experience. The service was decent—nothing to complain about, but nothing particularly memorable either.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. We’ve been to their other location below Street Road and have always found something on the menu that we didn't like. For this visit, we sat at the counter and observed the hectic yet well-organized kitchen. The various chefs and staff were constantly on the move. Despite being packed and having a long line of customers waiting outside, the food was served quickly and piping hot. The turkey plate reminded me of a Thanksgiving dinner, and the Holy Divoli will definitely leave you in a delightful food coma!

The food was quite good. I would give it 4 stars if my meal had included a full waffle (I ordered pancakes instead). Overall, I'm satisfied. (Update as of 1/19/18: The meat plate was outstanding!) I would rate dinner 5 stars.

I can't say sure, but I understand that this is a chain or franchise restaurant that is said to exceed my expectations. They had something I had never heard of, strawberry butter and it was as good as it sounds. The portions are enormous as American fashion, but in this case even more. The chicken and waffles come with half a chicken. Quality was top notch.

Weekday lunch. Cute smallish typical diner. Staff was friendly, a few were goofing around in front. Fast service. Food was hot and delicious. Table was a little dirty. Clam chowder was unexpectedly spicy. Also, wifi game on point! 9/10 would return.
