Illawarra Yacht Club Restaurant

What a shame that a restaurant in such a beautiful location should be let down by owners not wanting to staff properly. When a wait to order takes half an hour, staff look stressed and then when you go to order you are advised at least another half hour wait until being served food, best to walk away.

Three gents for lunch to catch over a nice meal take in the spectacular view and finish off the day with a nice coffee.All three meals were lovely, flathead fillets mouth watering, 300 gram steak cooked to perfection with crunchy chips and fresh salad, and amazing lamb cutlets OMG. Then after lunch we all walked down to the jetty to get a bit more of the view just amazing

Went with friends, they were impressed with the position of the dining room. Monday is a good day for lunch not to many people, so it was not very noisy.

Five of us ate at the Illawarra Yacht Club. View was recommended, The view is wonderful, however the restaurant is not. We waited one & half hours for our meal, got it when we went to the counter to complain, however they only cooked 4 meals, (forgot the 5th). One of our party had to sit and watch us eat, and wait another 3/4 of an hour for hers. None of the 5 meals were up to scratch, most were overcooked and some actually burnt. The salads were so dry, you couldn't eat them. The people at the table next to us were also complaining of a burnt and dry meal.Definately needs another chef.

Extremely rude club staff, terrible coffee and false advertising of serving breakfast on website! Once again can't stress enough the rudeness of the staff there
