Bidra med feedbackIgnore the negative or strange reviews. My best friend and I visited again today, and it was incredible! The staff member there is really friendly too!
I had never tried a sushi burrito before, so I was thrilled to discover this spot right outside the McPherson Square train station. The best way to describe Buredo is "chill." The small interior is cozy and inviting. The guy who prepared my sushi burrito was exceptionally friendly, making the experience even better. It’s the kind of place that feels familiar and comfortable, even on your first visit. I ordered the Pretty Riki, which is perfect for beet lovers, and the Gogo, a delicious blend of spicy mayo and avocado with a nice crunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Buredo, and whenever I crave a sushi burrito again, that will definitely be my go-to place. Just a heads up: most of the menu features fish, but you can substitute tofu in any dish that doesn’t already contain it.
Overall, I had a really positive experience. The food was excellent, the portion sizes were generous, and the fresh fish was quite impressive. The only downside for me was the rice, which I thought was a bit soggy.
Super cool guy working the counter. Very friendly and chatty. Unfortunately the food was AWFUL! He used pieces of nori that had been pre-riced and was soft and chewy. Not fresh! The toppings were good but when he added the tuna, he scooped it up along with a whole lot of juice. It made the entire burrito wet, soggy and nasty. The tuna was very unflavorful and was probably lower grade....def not sushi grade. My friend got the grilled mahi buredo. The fish tasted like it was grilled last week and sitting under a heat lamp for 4-5 days. Dry, tough and tasteless. Overall completely dissatisfied.
Walked in for takeout earlier this week. The woman who helped me was very patient, letting me go through all of the ingredients. It tasted very fresh and was so tasty. Will be back again!
