Good sushi, yummy miso and really fresh seafood. Totally recommend it

Possibly my favorite restaurant, Sakana has the best sushi I've ever had outside of Japan and at lower prices than other sushi places in DC. I highly recommend this place, and especially my three favorites, the salmon, the squid, and the caterpillar roll.

Love this little sushi shop. Reminds me of similar places in Japan. Fresh fish, crispy nori, warm rice and Japanese flavors and feels. Tamago was good. You can tell the tamago is made in house! Many sushi restaurants purchase and resell it. Bento was good. Tea was typical sencha you find in 寿司屋 in Japan. They have traditional stuff like various donburis, oshinko, tsunomono, hiyayako, etc. Small but cozy. No wait on a Wednesday night. Nice waitresses.
