Bidra med feedbackDallas has no Michelin starred restaurants, so when planning a trip to DC, I booked early to ensure that we got in. Unfortunately, I later realized, that The Inn at Little Washingon is in Washington, VIRGINIA (not D.C. . 1.5 hours away from where we would be. Doh. The full meal with gratuity is prepaid, so when it was clear after booking and paying, that we definitely wouldn't have time for the mini road trip during the initially planned visit, they allowed me a 1-time reservation change, which was great. It was the perfect excuse to fly back up for a weekend! It got a little clunky when I made contact to reschedule, because an attendant thought I had already made my 1 change, and she took too harsh a tone when explaining this to me in her email, but she later realized her error and rebooked as requested. Really, only a brief annoyance, but for a meal experience for 2 at $1,445.63 (prix fixe meal, including wine pairing and 22% set gratuity , every single little thing about the experience should feel smooth. And, from then every single little thing really was. Everything (the space, the presentations... was beautiful, and every bite was decadent and flavorful. We had their Gastronaut's Menu, and I usually only do fish for meat, so of course, their seafood choices were my favorites, but just to get the full experience, I ordered the lamb too, and it was easy to see why it would be a stand out for most (as it was for my date . And, the service was expert-level. I think this was my 3rd Michelin starred restaurant, and it safely lived up to expectations. I've realized that I'm interested in finding and trying the ones that feel more personable and complex rather than regal in food and experience. I don't mean that to take any points away from The Little inn, which was very very good, but despite that and the effort and cost involved to experience it, it was not my number 1 best dining experience in D.C. I would put it in my top 3. I would eat there again, but I probably won't, but only because of the inconvenience in getting there (for me .
What can I say, it has 3 Michelin stars. The entire experience from valet to valet was absolutely perfect. Flawless. Every detail is considered.
Food and service is over the top. I don't believe there is a better dinning experience in the Northern Virginia Washington D.C. area. Get ready for an incredible treat when you eat at this place, plus we recommend staying the night, their accommodations are incredible.
When you need to have all your senses overwhelmed, spend the night at the exquisite Inn at Little Washington, enjoy dinner, and get recharged at breakfast the next morning!!! While there are probably more cattle and horses than people in Washington, VA, once you cross the threshold into the Inn, you 're in a whole different dimension. Every ambiance detail that a large team of designers and craftsmen have imagined are there to enjoy. The food was beyond imagination and deserving and worthy of its 3 Michelin stars! If there was one more last detail to consider, the penny on the penny-for-your-thoughts note on the desk in our room could have had a 2023 date instead of 1977. JAH
First, the service was amazing and we never had want for anything, as everything was given and taken away, right when needed. Our food was amazing and unique, such as the pear ; and the duck was incredible (super fresh , shareable in size, and almost blown out of the sky by the fig and pear purée nearby. Mixing a few bites together was a delectable sin. My companion 's venison was amazing, to and shockingly melt-in-your mouth texture, and beats any filet minion I have ever tasted. The cappuccino pudding egg (as I will call it was amazingly fun and delicious to eat. I felt like a nice stuffed goose at the end of the fun, amazing meal. Someone threw a pie in my cocktail because you could not taste the alcohol (but you felt it was there... . That was unexpected and awesome, and I will certainly not hold my own local bar tenders to such expectations. I 'm shocked no one talked about the drive in, as Google took us to an awesome, fun amazing windy country road that had unparalleled scenic views in the autumn. Reading the reviews, I am a bit shocked I was able to get a table the night before. About the age of the staff; it is refreshing to see that the next generation being trained to what greatness is when dining out. They met it consistently and passionately. That passion and attention to detail will serve them phenomenally wherever they may land in the future. Reading some of these reviews, I question if they really went the the place. Having been to a two star place within DC proper, I now appreciate the difference. It was an amazing experience, worth every penny and most certainly worth the drive.
