Bidra med feedbackIt was a pleasure to eat in mortons georgetown! theny our server was friendly and able to lead my friends and I to the chefs seasonal specialties! all were excellent! we loved to sit on the terrace and enjoy the ambiente outside. many thanks to ram the gm, the other server and barkeepers that made our night so much fun!
Great food and ambiente! the price is a bit expensive, but the food quality is pointed notch.
Only a good place. the drink list contains only cocktails and dessert wines. we had to go into the bar to ask about scotch, bourbon or other drinks they could have. the bartender was clear about the choices. they were also from some of the weeping we chose from the weeping list (which is extensive) I wonder how difficult it is to keep it on the running. the baked escargots we ordered came up with small broth puppets. we couldn't eat them because the strong burned butter taste. the man took them off at the end. the steaks were good and so were the salates and besides. service was ok, but not excellent. I would not go for a special occasion for which they wish a more refined experience.
Pricey and overrated. Server was pleasant; but the sommelier brought wrong wine and opened the bottle before checking the order with us. Red wine served warm. Ice-bucket was requested, but took over 15 minutes to arrive with little ice, and via the server who promptly chose to ice the water bottle and leave the wine bottle on the table! (Sommelier should not have delegated, especially as the restaurant was not busy! . Food portions outsized but not special in flavor. A medium-rare ordered steak came overdone with no apology. We were not willing to await a replacement, but one was not offered. A salad from the appetizer menu was gargantuan- enough for two as a main course, but not especially tasty. Fish dish was best of the night; competently prepared and generous, but realistic single serving size. Will not plan a return trip. Not eager to spend almost $100/person for less-than-exciting food. Morton’s needs to up its game!
We had not been here for ~15 years ago. Then, it had reliably wonderful food and excellent service. We decided to take our 21 year old daughter here hoping for the same. Morton's did not disappoint. She said it felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Outstanding service-personable and attentive but not intrusive. Our meals were overall really good-nothing unusual, just a well-prepared feast of steak, broccoli, potatoes and salad, wine and dessert. The bread pudding was excellent! A gastronomic and splurge but worth it.
