Burger Philly Shack - Watauga

How do you forget to add cheese to a Philly CHEESE steak sandwich?

My wife and I came in last week, the place was full of flies we could not even enjoy our food. The large burger I ordered was wrong and so was my wife's which was said to include an onion ring and bbq sauce and did not have either. The back door was open for a good 15 minutes which allowed more flies to come in. There was also no AC making it very uncomfortable. I had come here a couple months ago and it was wonderful. This time I paid for something I didn't get. My wife just wanted to leave because of the frustration over the wrong order and the flies and hot uncomfortable temperature.

I have never stopped in here before, as it always looked a lil grungy and I had heard it had alot of unsavory people around. Well I recently discovered they were under new ownership so I decided to stop in to check them out. The dirt seemed to be wiped away from the front so I ventured inside. I went riiight when it was slow time for restaurants so it wasn't too crowded. While I was there one of the owners came by and we had a great conversation about how they got the business and changes they've been making and also some future changes in the works. Seem like very nice people up here, like they're all a close work family. Can't wait to go again and try something else!

Usually have a great experience here but today really put me off. Order the black and blue burger, there was no blue cheese crumbles and barely any bacon. Paid for chili cheese fries, received regular fries. Paid for 3 extra ranches. Didn't receive those. My order total was close to $50 on a take out order. For that much money, I'd appreciate my order being correct and a little more care being taken. I enjoy the food here, but this gives me pause about spending my money here again.

The meat itself was completely unseasoned and found hairs in both our burgers. Have been wanting to try this stop out for a while. A disappointment compared to the almost 5 star rating.
