Kalavara Traditional Indian Cuisine

This was the first time I had ever had an Indian dish where the meat was not perfectly cooked and seasoned with fresh aromatics. Even in a casual dining setting, tough, old, fatty meat like this would not be served. I was disappointed, and I can only give this restaurant two stars (the rice was the only redeeming quality). The lack of quality meat really detracted from the experience, as it goes against the reasons why I usually love Indian cuisine. It was a Sunday evening when I dined there, and the restaurant was not very busy. This may have been a factor in the poor quality of the food, as they might have been cutting costs and not serving as they should. If this is the standard practice, they should adjust their prices accordingly. The lack of heat in the dish (medium spice is usually just right for me, but this had no spice at all) was a letdown. If the restaurant is quieter or closing soon, they should offer the food at a discounted price to reflect its freshness. As a new customer, I hope to give them another chance in the future and that this experience will not be my last. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommended. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The food was very good and everyone, both young and old, enjoyed their food. We ordered mild dishes to accommodate everyone's preferences. We were given free rice with our large order and the staff kindly insisted on helping us take our food to the car since it was a heavy order. I am very grateful for the excellent service and will definitely be returning.

Highly recommended. We had a family get together. We did takeaway. 10 dishes. All very good. Every body enjoyed the food, we ordered mild as we had young and old to feed. Were given complimentary rice due to large order. They were very friendly insisted on taking our food to car as it was a large order and heavy. Also so very grateful for my order. Will be back.

Really a good authentic Japanese restaurant. We had all kind of different foods and they were spot on. Not just sushi much much more.
