Wausau Mine Company

I was at Wausau Mine twice. It is a unique restaurant and I believe it is an iconic restaurant in Wausau. It looks like you're in a mine. It is definitely another experience. When I was there, I had the two pastas on my plate. That's not so good for me. I find nothing special about the taste. We also ordered the Italian Pommes, I love them. For the second time I had the virgile burger and onion rings of lean beef patty, sautéed onion, canadian bacon, mushroom). It's just okay for me. Of course we ordered the Italians back to my Fave. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Very busy place for a Monday night! We sat pretty fast. Friendly staff. Ravioli garlic bread was good. I made half for the sauces. Marinera fatuccine. Your pizza is very good! We needed a Hawaiian. Will definitely go back!

Traveling through Wausau I was hungry and Googled was the best places to eat. Wausau Mine Company was nearby so I decided to try it. It is a very clean and unique restaurant, I sat right away, service was fast, I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich, I was surprised how great a serving it was. The meal was very good and the price was quite reasonable. If you are looking for a good, unique place to eat in Wausau, I recommend the Wausau Mine Company.

Had a great meal here. The atmosphere was great. I couldn't find Chile Size on the menu, so I ordered a simple burger and a bowl of Chile and made my own. Delicious!

Saw the good reviews and decided to try the place out. I'm glad I did. I had the Poor Man's Cod with Cesar salad, twice baked potatoes, and garlic bread. I also ordered a side of onion rings. Washed it down with a Surly Brewing Furious IPA, and a **** Mary cocktail. The Cod was served swimming in a delicious platter of melted butter. I broke the cod fillet up into small flakes so the butter soaked into it as much as possible. It was absolutely delicious. The twice baked potatoes were nice and cheesy. The bartender was a good dude. I was tucked into the corner at the bar, and it was pretty busy, but he was on top of the service game and made sure to check with me regularly to see if I needed anything else. The total bill came out to $25. Pretty good deal. Great food, great service, at great price. I'm very happy I came here while on my visit to Wausau. I hope you're next visit is as great as mine was.
