Subway - Waynesville

I'm impressed by the staff. It was a busy location but they kept the line moving. They manage to take time with each of the orders to make sure it was correct.

I absolutely adore the staff here! They always prepare our sandwiches just the way we like them. They even remember to make a special sandwich for our dog as soon as we walk in.

I arrived at the restaurant just five minutes before closing with my cousin, and the closing staff member informed me that she would only serve one of us. She communicated this in a very unprofessional manner and stated that she was only making one sub. When I asked if I could order for my cousin, I was told that I could not. It's 2023, and yet I still encountered racial discrimination in this small town. I acknowledge that everyone works hard, just like I do, but showing respect goes a long way, especially in a challenging job market where workers are in short supply.

Even though I was the only customer, I ended up staying longer than usual. The staff member focused on cleaning instead of taking my order. However, the wait was worth it because the toasted chicken on white bread was fantastic! The chicken and bread were incredibly fresh, and I can definitely see this becoming my go-to lunch each week.

I walked in just five minutes before closing, looking for a drink, and I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the two teenagers working there were. They were welcoming, even though I probably looked like "that lady" who shows up right before closing time.
