Congdon's Doughnuts

Delicious donuts! Great breakfast sandwich too! My daughter said it was better than Starbucks! And she loves Starbucks.

I can totally see why this place is considered the best place to get donuts in Maine. The line to get in is nuts, but well worth it for the experience. The coffee was pretty solid and the breakfast sandwiches had nice, crispy bacon. But the donuts are definitely the main attraction!

Everything about this place is fantastic. The help, the office staff, and oh the donuts and my favorite fritters. If you are near, don’t miss it.

Woman who helped us wasn’t very nice or friendly. We weren’t sure what flavor donut holes you had so asked her and she talked so fast and away from us we couldn’t hear so was very frustrating especially since it wasn’t that busy and felt like she was rushing us. Donuts and donut holes were amazing!

We were told we had to try Congdon’s Doughnuts while visiting the area, so we made sure to go early on a weekday when they had most of their selection still! Their chocolate frosting is very rich, and these donuts are definitely thicker and cakier than what we’re used to back home in CT. They had such a great variety of flavors, but we couldn’t resist all the chocolately ones. Not in our personal favorites for donuts we’ve ever had, but solid for the area!
