Shilimar Indian Restaurant - Wembley

The restaurant is nothing fancy (certainly not beyond the main seating area, but the food and service are great and popular. My favorites are the Vindaloo and the Chicken Tikka starter. Very happy that this is our local.

Regulars here for the Butter Chicken and Lamb Rogan Josh. Naan bread is good too. They do home delivery- never eaten in.

This is one of our locals and we come here without hesitation.Food and service is fabulous.BUT we can't put up with the noise any longer! The noise in the room is impossible due to bare floor and walls. I can't hear my neighbor across the table due to the noise.For god's sake put carpet on the walls or on the floor or even stick carpet to the underside of the table and chairs. ANYTHING TO QUIETEN THE PLACE DOWN. DON'T YOU GET IT?

The chicken madras was too sweet, the sag paneer too creamy and the lamb kadai too full of fenugreek. These seemed to be curries overly-adjusted for what they think the Australian taste is. Give me the real thing please.

I may have just had the best curry of my life so far. I was going to call them, but then I thought I really should make my point public. Get on board.
