Bidra med feedbackWe visited this restaurant with a party of four on a Saturday at 6 PM and were informed we would have about an hour wait. We ordered the Lamb Konbu, which cost $26 for an 8-ounce serving accompanied by a broth of brown rice. The quality of the meat was acceptable; however, all the vegetables and noodles were still partially frozen, making the dish difficult to enjoy. As for the ambiance and service, we experienced significant issues with the restaurant’s ventilation system. It felt extremely humid and uncomfortable, reminiscent of clubbing in winter! The staff’s solution was to keep the front door open for “just a few minutes,” but that ended up being 30 minutes, leaving our legs freezing while our faces felt warm from the soup and the lack of proper airflow. Overall, it was not an enjoyable meal, especially considering the price. Additionally, they charge extra for more flavorful broths, such as beef broth, which also comes with brown rice. Parking was a bit tight, but we managed to find a spot without too much trouble.
As I mentioned, I stick to my regular order each time: AYCE (All You Can Eat) Premium Beef, which has a softer texture and is easier to chew compared to Wagyu. While Wagyu has a richer flavor, I tend to eat around two pounds of meat, and the premium beef is much easier on the palate. When you order AYCE, you can choose either four plates of meat or vegetables, with each order being about four ounces. I usually order four plates, totaling a pound of meat, and then I get another plate if I'm still hungry. I typically cap it at two pounds since that’s a comfortable level of fullness, although I could always muster the courage to order more. There are three dipping sauces to choose from, but I stick with the most essential one: ponzu. The AYCE menu is priced at $31 for regular items and $38 for premium, and I always go for the premium option. Generally, I finish my meal within an hour—or half an hour if I’m dining with friends, which tends to align with the hour-and-a-half time limit. To sum up this long story in one sentence: as long as they keep this ponzu recipe, I won't be going anywhere else. If you're a meat lover like me, you'll definitely want to return. Just a heads up, they close at 7 PM, so if you're coming with a large group, it's best to call ahead to ensure they can accommodate you.
This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was impressed right from the start. We arrived early at 5:00 PM and were seated promptly. The vegetables were fresh and clean, and the thinly sliced meat was also fresh, with plenty of it to satisfy us. Each member of our group had their favorite soup, but the Miso soup stood out as the most flavorful. I added a spoonful of garlic, and everyone agreed it made for the perfect broth—nothing else was needed! Our server, Jasmine, was attentive and friendly to our group of seven. Whether you're on a date or out with friends, this place is ideal! The price ranges from $21 to $31 per person, depending on your protein choice. We all loved this restaurant!
It is a good place, but there is not cheap, but again it is a beautiful place meat are on the call and you get about 1 hour 30min to eat at the buffet
This is definitely a good place for AYCE Japanese shabu shabu. I would give it 80-85 out of 100. However, here are three things I need to say. Hopefully, the owner of the restaurant will see and can make improvements. 1. There were sand in clams! Lots of sand so that we didn?t order any clams after the first round. 2. Not sure if the staff misunderstood or the meat was mislabeled in the kitchen? They told us that meat in photo #1 was ?premium beef? and in photo #2 was ?Wagyu?. That doesn?t make sense at all! Are you serious?? 3. The calamari tasted okay but it had a thin but extremely strong film on the surface? see the 3rd picture? That was funny?
