Bidra med feedbackWe have been to this pub on numerous occasions for lunch and always great food. As we were a couple on our own on Christmas Day we decided to book for lunch. In past years we have been to other pubs and ‘posh hotels’ but this was honestly the very best Christmas lunch we’ve had. Moist turkey served with nine different vegetables, 3 pigs in blankets and bacon wrapped stuffing. All well presented. Only pub ever to offer canapés (which were very nice and the first drink on the house! Never had that before. The waiters (all young teenagers? were efficient, polite and attentive. It was very busy but we were not rushed in anyway. All in all a truly great meal and made 10 times better because I hadn’t had to cook it!! Worth every penny. Thank you to all the hard working staff and in particular to the great chef there
We just returned from Christmas day dinner family of 6 .From the moment we arrived everything was fantastic. We were presented with a beautifully laid table and added extras .The food was amazing ,presented beautifully and plenty of it .We could not fault it at all .The young staff serving were very attentive and went out their way to make it a great experience. Overall it was fantastic and we booked again for next year. Thankyou to everyone there for making it a stress free day xx
Absolutely fabulous Sunday roast, plenty of meat, stunning selection of veg and PROPER gravy. Only gripe have to pay £1 for a homemade Yorkshire pudding even when ordering roast beef
We had our annual Christmas meal and it was lovely. Lots of flavour and plenty of turkey and vegetables. Would certainly recommend !
Very disappointed as told we had to book a table in the restaurant can’t eat in the bar. When we got there people eating in the bar. So what’s that about. Chairs In restaurant not good needs updating really uncomfortable. After waiting half an hour for food and it arrived luke warm. We left as Regulars are definitely looked after first. We left feeling let down. No one said goodbye. Not ever going back. Sad
