I tried the macaroons and was really disappointed. I bought ten, but they ran out quickly. I took a small bite out of gratitude, but it made me feel sick afterward. I got vanilla and strawberry flavors, but both had no taste at all. In fact, they tasted fishy, which was a huge waste of my money. Very disappointing overall.
I was on a trip and on the lookout for the most authentic experience. I’ve made banh mi myself and know how to prepare the right bread and pickled vegetables; it’s not overly complicated, but it does require some time. Based on the reviews, I expected this place to be the best, but it fell short. I ordered the tofu and chicken, but the bread was not crispy at all. There was no pâté, which I didn’t mind since I didn’t eat the bun myself and shared it with a friend. The chicken was mostly dark meat and was described as tasteless and dry. The pickled vegetables were underwhelming, and the cilantro mainly lacked flavor. On the plus side, the prices were reasonable, and it looked like a nice bakery. I might try other items on the menu in the future, but I won’t be ordering banh mi again. There are definitely better options a few places down the road, or you could just make it yourself and enjoy the process!
Very rude! Called once to ask for something and told me to not call again and hung on me.
Super disappointed. I'm used to NYC quality Banh Mi this definitely didn't compare. Raw onions(? were the most prevalent flavor and just not the flavor profile I expect in a banh mi sandwich. Couldn't get past a few bites, The lady working there was lovely though.
