Daiko Japanese Restaurant Jerry-san's Sushi Bar

Cozy, great regular specials (spicy kani salad! , good sake selection. Their jumbo rolls are to die for. They don't skimp on the tobiko/caviar.

Started off with shrimp shumai as appetizer and it is pretty standard. Moved onto the special rolls and was amazed with the quality of the wasabi and ginger on the side. Rubbing my hands and ready to dive into the rolls. Fried oyster roll what was that again? Ying&Yang roll salty Dragon roll First bite: did we get the wrong order? Let me further inspect it... I spy a booger sized eel in the corner proving its dignity, (see pics), yes it is indeed a dragon roll, today I learnt to never judge a roll by its first appearance and happy new year to you all. But giving benefit of doubt Perhaps we came at closing hour and they don't have much to offer. Side note: didn't dine in but the interior is very cute, also the restaurant is surrounded in a sea of dealership car park which is pretty romantic.

This place did not live up to it's reviews. I got the sushi and sashimi lunch combo and the sushi itself was definitely not fresh. Everything felt like they were at least a day old. I was very very disappointed by the size of the sashimi that came with it! Please see pictures to see exactly what I mean. They were way smaller than what I am used to. I definitely won't be coming back simply because of the poor quality and size of the sushi.

Favorite sushi in the area, so thankful to have found this place. The best spicy salmon and highly recommend the sunshine rolls (and everything)

Comparing to other Sushi places near by, this is my favorite spot. I recently come here very often. I like Jerry, he is friendly and kind. He enjoys his work and prepares sushi like an art. The quality of the fishes is above average with reasonable price. Yes, I will come back again many more times. Understand some people complain about the portion of the fish getting smaller lately. I don't know if it's a good reason to lower rate. However, I think it is still pretty good size comparing to other restaurant. You can tell he serves quality food. The market price has been going up for years. So I think it's okay to get a little less but same great quality. I rated it 5 stars for sushi only, I don't like to eat other food in a sushi bar. I won't be surprised if the entree menu is not as excellent.
