Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at this restaurant for one night during our long weekend getaway. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is on the small side, so I would recommend booking a table if you plan on dining there. We were assigned to the studio apartment, which was a pleasant surprise. The apartment had its own kitchenette equipped with a hob, fridge, kettle, and combi oven, as well as an en-suite shower, table and chairs, and a comfortable bed. The breakfast items were provided in the fridge and included fresh orange juice, milk, ham, cheese, rolls, jam, and butter. The village is quite peaceful and there isn't much to do, though we did enjoy a walk to the nearby church. Overall, we had a lovely stay here. The only drawback was discovering a spider in the bed and the limited window ventilation in the room made it quite hot, even with the heater turned off.
My partner and I visited the Salford Inn with another couple we had met in our prenatal classes for a nice catch-up while our sons played together. Unfortunately, our enjoyable afternoon took a turn for the worse when the bartender rudely suggested that if our babies continued to cry, we would have to take them outside. Despite the bar being nearly empty except for one other couple in a corner, and the fact that it was cold and windy outside, this request was completely inappropriate. The restaurant advertised itself as "child-friendly" but seemed to follow the outdated belief that children should be seen and not heard. Furthermore, we were disappointed to find that half of the items on the menu were not available.
We originally planned to have a light lunch at a café in a nearby antique center, but it was closed for January. Luckily, we stumbled upon a charming English village inn as we drove past on the main road. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I ordered the fishcake and my partner had the ham, egg, and chips, both of which were deliciously prepared. The portions were also quite generous. Since I was driving, my partner enjoyed a pint of Old Hooky. Definitely recommend making a stop here if you happen to be passing by.
Oh yes what a treat. The staff at the Salford Inn are just lovely. Very attentive. The atmosphere in the pub is relaxed and comfortable. The food is wonderful. One had pork chop, chips veg I had Gluten free fish and chips. All freshly made very delicious. The chips were like huge roast potatoes, part steamed then fried. Soft through the middle very crispy on the outside. All I can say is to anyone is Visit this put you will not be disappointed with anything. 10 out of 10. I will be back. Many thanks.
4 of us went for lunch prior to doing a local walk. The pub was empty when we arrived at 12, but later filled up nicely. The food was excellent especially the hake which was cooked perfectly. My ham egg and chips was delicious and a huge portion. The desserts were also good. The pub was warm and the welcome from the staff and chef, even warmer! Prices reasonable. Difficult to find a single fault. Wish the Salford was in my village!!!
