Lemoncello Cafe Restaurant

Have been here a few times for Brekky... coffee is good and breakfast serving is sumptuous. Have tried a few of the options and have not been disappointed. Price seems a tad higher than average, but I guess that is the price for convenience cafe.

So disappointed in a family dinner at Lemoncello last night. Zucchini fritters were burnt -enormous dry lumps of unrecognisable zucchini on a bed of undressed rocket. Prawn salad was served as unshelled oily prawns. Not much fun shelling oily messy prawns at the table and ended up wearing much of it. Main course veal casa very average and served with cold vegetables. Meals were served at different times. Coke spilled down one person's back. Jammed into a corner where the waitress could not get down the table so we had to pass the parcel with drinks and meals. Would have been possibly okay if the service had not been patchy at best, borderline rude at worst.

As a West Pennant Hills local family we often look to dine in our area without a booking, particularly when the kids are out and its just the two of us. You could say, Valentines Day dinner will be busy, and you will be right - so what can you expect? Well, not what we witnessed tonight. They were completely overwhelmed by the volume of customers (which I presume they had bookings for 90% of) and seriously understaffed, and the staff that they did have were complete amateurs. We witnessed a number of angry customers walk out after being seated and waiting for who knows how long for their drinks/orders and the meal service was chaotic and the quality of the food served was sub par (my wife's pancetta pizza had a piece of the pancetta backing paper baked into the pizza...). This is definitely the last time we will dine here - after numerous previous meals at Lemoncello, where in each instance the questionable quality of the service was well below what is charged for the meal ($150 for two of us tonight). Personally, I blame the owners/managers who put profit before customer service. It's a real shame, West Pennant Hills deserves a quality restaurant, unfortunately Lemoncello is a joke.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic and the service was top-notch. The waitress had a fantastic sense of humor that really added to the dining experience. Overall, the food was excellent.

The food was absolutely delicious! I went to this restaurant for brunch with my friend (and the dog I was taking care of) on a Saturday morning and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
