Elements At 35th - West Valley City

We came on a Wednesday to celebrate a member of our group of 8. There weren't very many people in the restaurant or at the bar. We really felt like we weren't welcome the entire visit because the staff seemed standoffish and we didn't receive much service. We got some drinks and ordered fries. It took 15mins for our drink order to be taken then another 20mins to receive our drinks. Our fries didn't come before we paid the check and decided to dine elsewhere.

Well.... The food was excellent and our server Lorena was very nice and helpful. But....what was disappointed was that so many menu items were unavailable so looking at the menu online is pretty useless. Best to wait and see what is actually available. The only two entrees were the Steak and the Salmon. When my wife ordered the steak we were told they didn't actually have that one but did have a different cut that wasn't on the menu. Delicious food and great atmosphere. The steak on my Chipotle salad was so tender and the clam chowder was fantastic. Hidden gem!

This restaurant is located inside the hotel. Service is sub par at best. The menu was not current so the server basically told us what we were having for dinner. If you can lower the bar on service and food quality to your lowest setting, you will have an ok experience. The entire staff with the exception of one guy who appeared to be a manager or supervisor gave a hint of actually enjoying himself serving the guests.

It was really good. It was a little cold in there. The food took a while to get there but it was really worth the wait.
