Bidra med feedbackHonestly, I expected better. The Mac cheese was terrible. Just look at it. The sandwich I got was good if you like that spicy type chicken. Maybe next time, I’ll try something else, but I am no rush to return. Just wish the overall experience was better.
Ordered half pound of ribs with sweet sauce. Ribs came with dry rub only no sweet sauce on the ribs or with the ribs.Brisket came with dry rub, which was not listed on the menu. I do not like dry rub as I find it spicy. We ordered mac and cheese as well it came smoked.so we spent nearly $40 on food that I cannot eat. They offered to replace the ribs but I’m not driving 1 hour round trip to replace the ribs.Highly recommend checking your order before you leave.
Ray Rays might actually be the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Anywhere. I’d also like to call out Byron he’s the BEST! The staff is so great. Such a great experience and we only went through the drive thru!We had all the meats on the menu and we were not disappointed. The sauces are very flavorful and have a good kick but aren’t overly spicy. Just the right amount of flavor and spiceTaters, collard greens, Mac n cheese and coleslaw were delicious. The greens have s nice little kick to them and so much flavor. If you like BBQ and you’re in the Columbus area, Ray Rays is THE ONLY answer
I like to go to restaurants from diners, drive-ins and dives when I am traveling since you usually can be assured it’s a quality place. This is a chain but maintains that hole in the wall feel. They have the pits outside and picnic chairs since they are small and there’s no dine in. The weather was nice today and we enjoyed the picnic tables. We got the meat sweats box , which is a sampler big enough for 2 easily. It comes with Saint Louis spare ribs, spicy sausage, j chicken, brisket and pulled pork. I also got a 3 bone baby back rib to try them and sides of the russet potatoes, Mac and cheese, beans, and coleslaw.I really liked the baby russet potatoes and the spicy ranch it came with. I’ve had a lot of BBQ and would say this place ranks pretty high. I’d definitely come back again.
I’ve eaten at some fine BBQ places down south and this place could stand with any of them. That Carolina Chopped Pork sandwich is incredible. So is the mac-n-cheese. It is a little dark, but it’s from whatever cheese they used and how it’s spiced. I was going to ding them a star on price, since it is pricey, but after I ate that sandwich I gave the star back. There is no place to sit, just a drive thru and they’re only open 4 days a week.
