Akai Lounge Westfield

Met a couple here and our table was a little delayed which isn't a problem because we were able to get drinks at the bar. Sat down and ordered appetizers, we shared the tuna pizza and soup dumplings, both of which were exceptional. The flavor in the soup dumplings was a show stopper. My wife and the other couple got sushi which you could tell was fresh and made extremely well and I had the Akai BBQ short rib, one of the better short ribs I've had, grilled to perfection. The ambiance is really on point, not too loud that you can't hear your table but loud enough that you don't hear the table next to you. Service was great, quick with the drinks and accommodating. Can't wait to go back.

My niece and I sat at the sushi bar, we really enjoy yourself very comfortable seats and delicious food. Not too noisy either even though the place was packed.

Sashimi, check. Yellowtail, check. Masago, check. Great and attentive service at the bar, very good food, excellent cocktails (yes you, sake-tini) and Santa Theresa rum...yum! Great afternoon here!

I was excited to try this restaurant! When I arrived I parked on the street. I walked into a beautiful restaurant! I loved the decor. We had a great server (I believe her name was Emma). For my drinks, I got the lemon drop martini and the pinot nior, which were good. For my meal I got the shrimp udon which was very good. My friend enjoyed his shrimp teriyaki. It was a really good time.

First time eating here in their new location and I must say from the old location on east board it’s a nice upgrade. Only downside is that there is no buffer when the door to the outside opens. You get blasted with cold air in the cooler/colder months. The food was fantastic, we ordered the dumplings steamed and they came out like clock work and were delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Overall a great experience.
