Cupsogue Beach Hut - Westhampton Beach

You wanna play then you gotta pay! Cupsogue Beach has their own parking fees. NY State Parking permit? Too bad so sad sucka, pay! And the police? They are in full uniform scouring this beach looking for sun bathers with open containers. You'll get a ticket, they don't play around. If you can handle the PoPo watching you, then (Do the Jussaric Park voice) Welcome to Cupsogue Beach The sugar sand beaches. Clean water. Clean everything! Do you think Summer folks in West Hampton want Riff Raff and garbage anywhere on Dune Rd? Surely you jest. (And don't call me Shirley)

This beach hut has really good food. The food is always fresh. The staff is always friendly and they have great food choice selections. They also have a great bar. The banana mudslide is out of this world. Prices are high. But it's worth it for a beach day. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came with fries. It was really tasty and moist. I also ordered the coconut shrimp spring rolls. They were out of this world!!!!!

Dora the bartender is so amazing! I live local visit a few times a week she always has a positive attitude is so happy with a smile on her face! She really makes my day time there great, she makes amazing drinks i look forward to coming seeing her! I would 100% recommend going there just for HER! Thank you so much for the great service! :

Nice beach. $18 to park. Complementary sunscreen provided by the local hospital and pull string showers available to rinse off. Lifeguards on duty. Snack bar is available. They allow smoking on the beach (which was surprising). Can get crowded on the weekend, but there was still plenty of room for everyone. You can even search for some nice sized seashells.

Expensive but good food and drinks available served by friendly bartenders. I go to Cupsogue for birding/bird studies and spend most of my time on the flats or doing sea watching. I often get lots of questions once folks see me and others looking out into the Ocean with our sporting scopes. The staff at Beach Hut has always been good to all Birders/researchers and over the years and we in turn support the business. Some of us do more than just eat and enjoy a Margarita or two...or three on the rocks. It is well made and you could request the good stuff, just expect to pay a bit more. The beachgoers may look at you out of curiosity but no one has ever been disrespectful to me personally. A safe beach with a camaraderie type feel to it. Make sure you observe the speed limit when driving Dune road. The constables are pretty cool but do their jobs well. One of my favorite places on Long Island and I don't even use the beach for leisure stuff...unless you count staring at Gulls your thing
