JD Bar & Grill - WETHERILL PARK

Went for a drink before going out for dinner, but got comfortable and decided to stay. To be fair the meals are always of a very high standard. I'm a sweet & Sour fan, and so when I saw it on the menu it kind of sealed the deal. The quality of the meal was very good, but I am going to have to make this criticism - when you see Sweet and Sour pork you expect it to be done Chinese style - which means a nice crispy batter. Unfortunately no, unfortunately as the quality of the pork was first rate. No fat and **** like you usually get with Chinese (some Chinese), but it really lacked the crunch factor. So I was a little disappointed to say the least. My wife had pan fried Salmon and loved it. The beers on tap are nice but a little limited, but reasonably priced and the crowd are mature and sensible. Great place for a wind down after a weeks work.

New owners are bringing this restaurant down. I waited more than an hour to have my main meal however the other people I was dining with already got theirs. in fact they were already finished eating by the time my food came out. I even had to remind the waitress "um excuse me miss but where is my food". So my guess is that they forgot and had to start cooking when I inquired. To top it all off the meal my friends got and shared was wrong. Wrong serving size and wrong meat. What if they were allergic or don't eat for religious reasons?? Luckily they are big meat eaters. My husbands dish cost $55 for a eye fillet with seasoned veggies. By veggies they mean 5 pieces of round beans. Prices match Candeloris just down the road without the Candeloris experience. In the end, I asked for my meal to be on the house which eventually they did after several attempts to offer me free drinks etc. On a more positive note, quality of food was really good.

This place is awesome. Had a steak and cooked to perfection! Food came out extremely fast. Friendly waiters. You can not go to a better place to eat around this area. Will definitely go back and have dinner here again.

Booked for table of 6 + baby for a Saturday night catch up dinner VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE & FOODMy partner and his 2 mates had the Wagyu steak ($65), the others came first then his but it was missing garnishes. They served them wagyu steak without steak knives, we asked for table water but the waitress didn't give us cups to drink with.I had grilled prawns and it was not nice at all - below standards.While my partner was still eating his dinner waitress came around and asked about the bill ........Find that very rude...

Jd bar and grill has really good service with very nice welcoming staff the food is absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend Jd bar and grill for everyone because it's absolutely great . They have new management and this these guys know what they're doing they actually care about the people that are walking into their restaurant. I all gotta go back and try again I wish them all the best and really hope they take it to the next level
