Kaliubon Ramen Poke (wethersfield)

This is a small place with not a lot of seating, but it is clearly very popular. By the time we were done eating, there was a line to the door. The food is good. I'd say it's a solid 4. I ate the coconut curry with rice noodles. Yes, not typical ramen, but I wanted to try it. Although the flavor was good, I found it to be very greasy and heavy. Not a good feeling. My husband and kids liked theirs, but did not love it. Good ramen in the area, but not my favorite overall.

A must visit destination for noodlers!Kaliubon delivers on all fronts... this location is a funky location-wise and the decor inside of this outpost reminds me of modern noodle houses you see poppin up....Once seated youre given a eye pleasing menu w/a nice layout being straightforward and descriptive. Soooo many intriguing options I was almost certain I would need multiple trips to really make a fair assessment .Ordered a melon boba cuz you have to do it for the gram every now and then and the color just popped. Not to mention it was refreshing and delicious. I'm a fan of brown sugar boabz but I dig honey ones more.For apps I got the Goma Q (cukes in a creamy sesame dressin w/crushed peanut) and pork belly boas. Both were outstanding, the goma had fresh cucumber playin off the peanuty almost satay like sauce w this lil punch from the chili flake it just worked and the pork belly was so damn tender n juicy smacc'n w/a ton of flavor w/o getting lostThen for my entree I went w/the coconut curry adding aged tofu as my protein. Absolutely incredible as originally I was a bit hesitant to go that route since I always find the coconut overpowering. In this broth it was friggin prefect! All the notes from the fragrant curry spices played off that richness and if you add the sirracha you get that addictive sweetness in the back end. I could eat that for days.PS ....if you read this far you're a Rockstar and if you're torn between locations come to this one. It's slightly better than the rest.
