Bidra med feedbackThis was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised! We started with some delicious and intriguing drinks. The arancini rice balls and meatball appetizers were fantastic. Each of the four of us chose a different dish from the dinner menu, and we were all wowed by the flavors. I had a craving for chicken parmesan, which isn’t listed on the menu, but the waitress informed me that I could get it as a side. It was probably the best I’ve ever had. The pasta was incredibly fresh, and the sauce was rich and full of flavor. To finish off our meal, we ordered the Italian sugar donuts and some coffee drinks. We left feeling very satisfied and definitely plan to return. I also want to commend our waitress for her professionalism and helpfulness; she was knowledgeable and very gracious.
However, our waitress, who resembled an Olsen sister, spoke so softly that, despite the bustling environment, it was tough for our party of six to hear her at all. It was a Friday evening, and the restaurant was packed, so it was definitely not a tranquil setting. Overall, the service was lackluster, deserving nothing more than the standard 15% tip—if that—even though most of our group felt it was unwarranted. The waitstaff exuded a certain pretentiousness, remarking, “Oh yeah, they don’t understand the names of the dishes.” They barely checked in on us, even though the order station was just a short distance away, which was disappointing. Now, let's talk about the food—quite possibly the most disappointing aspect of the evening. Apparently, the only redeeming dish was the calamari, which I didn’t even try. The meatballs we ordered as an appetizer were over-seasoned with salt, whether from the sauce or the cheese, I couldn’t tell. It felt like the salt was trying to cover up the lukewarm, lackluster balls of meat beneath. The wait between appetizers and main courses was also not justified. When you order a full-sized salad, you don’t expect it to be barely larger than the half-size offering. That was one overpriced item right there. I had also ordered sausage crumbles to add to my meal, thinking they would be some type of Italian sausage in a crumbled form. Instead, I received sliced, sad, cold pieces that were a far cry from what I had envisioned. Overall, it was a deeply disappointing experience.
I ordered two appetizers online, intentionally placing my order before the dinner rush to avoid a long wait. I requested the earliest possible pickup, but I ended up waiting over 40 minutes for my order to be ready. Unfortunately, with this level of wait time for such a small order, I’m unlikely to order from here again.
We had booked this place as our anniversary dinner based on the fact that it 's on Whitefish Lake and we 'd have a good view. First, the good part. Maria, our server, was fantastic. She 's the primary reason that pulled the rating up to a 2 Food was good Ambience was good, the view was ok Free valet parking Now for the ugly. The hostess at the restaurant is anuptight, rude, and probably racist, woman named Christine. We had reservations for 5 pm for dinner. We arrived at 4:45 pm.Without even a smile or any greeting she proceeded to lecture us that we 're early (we acknowledged that) and they wouldn 't beable to serve us till 5 pm. But she would see if she could seat us and get water on the table. We were fine with it. Shedisappeared and we waited in the lobby. Christine didn 't come back until 5. I commented that since the restaurant was not evenclose to being a third full, we shouldn 't have a problem in getting a window table. You know, with a view of the lake that mademe select this place in the first place. She then again started with her condescension that all the tables are reserved . Shetook us to probably the worst table in the restaurant away from any windows and by a wall. Her ultimatum was this was the onlytable that we could have or we were welcome to leave. I was livid at this point but there was no way we were going to get a spotat any other good restaurant without major delays! I bit down on my pride and stayed. Again, Maria really tried to make up forChristine 's behavior and made our meal memorable. The first picture is at 5 pm with literally no other dinners in one in ourzone. The second picture is at 6:20 pm when we were leaving, with 3 other parties dining. Still open seats by the window.
My husband and had dinner here on our honeymoon. The patio seating had a beautiful view overlooking the lake. We were impressed as soon as we walked in as the lobby is gorgeous. The elk meatballs were delicious!! And McKenzie, our server, was the best! Shemade our experience special.
