Meko Dining - Whitehorse

I went there for lunch with a friend. We ordered noodle soup from the lunch menu which turned out to be disappointing. There were only 3 small tasteless prawn dumplings with the noodles and the broth was tasteless as well. My friend's did not fare much better. Their dinner menu appears to be the fine dining type but judging from the food they served at lunch I would not hold my breath.

An Asian Fusion restaurant, a very nice atmosphere, a little noisy, but ok, a pleasant greeting, interesting choices on the menu, took our own wine, waitress and chef made us very welcome

Outstanding local restaurant. Small but very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing menu, and the food lives up to it. BYO and the prices are very good. Can recommend the bombe Alaska, the show you get when it is set on fire is amazing

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. We brought our own wine and enjoyed the beautiful food. The service was attentive but not overly intrusive. I ordered the crab fritters and shared a meko platter with my husband, which was impressive and a great value at $24.50 for two people. We all enjoyed the interesting desserts, which were obviously homemade. My father and husband had the baked Alaska, and were amazed when the chef brought it out on a special table and lit the brandy in front of us. We will definitely be returning to Meko in the future. It is a perfect spot for a special occasion, without breaking the bank. You won't be disappointed!

While there are no major faults with the restaurant, it lacks depth in flavor and ambiance. It may be suitable for a special occasion or intimate dinner, but not ideal for a casual outing with friends.
