Monterrey's Mexican Grill - Wichita

The food was really enjoyable. I ordered a fried beef taco and the Burrito California, which was packed with fajita steak, chicken, and cheese, all covered in queso. I added some red sauce on top, and it came with a side of shrimp-topped rice that was delightful. Unfortunately, the salsa didn't quite hit the mark; it was lacking in flavor, so I inquired about spicy salsa. They did have some, and while it was definitely spicy, it also lacked flavor. Despite this, I would definitely consider returning to give it another shot. The service was good.

We are in the area for a few days and decided to try a new restaurant for Cinco de Mayo. We ordered the Panco Villa burrito and a taco dinner. The burrito was huge, packed with pork, beef, and cheese, and I must say it was absolutely delicious. The tacos came in crispy flour shells and were equally tasty. The guacamole was impressively fresh. Our waitress was very professional, and the owner even came by to see how we were doing!

This restaurant is an excellent choice for tasty Mexican cuisine! I had the California burrito, and it was amazing. The food was served hot and fresh, and the chips and salsa were quite enjoyable as well. Even though our server was on her phone for much of the time, she remained very friendly. It wasn’t very crowded, so I can understand that. I will certainly come back just for that burrito!

So amazing. Love the fried tacos and margaritas. The service was great, very clean place, and authentic. Coming from a Texas gal, it’s very impressive. Meals are average price for good food in the area.

Ruben’s was awesome Mexican food and I should know since I’ve grown up in South-Central Texas eating different styles of Mexican food my whole life! I would like to show you how beautiful the presentation of our Shrimp Ceviche and our Avocado Salad were! However, all I have to show is the evidence. Those of you who know me well will notice there is NO desert plate (and I didn’t get one too go), I ate until I was too full to put anything else in my mouth!!!
