Recently enjoyed a birthday lunch for my mum at La Terre. We had a group of 12 plus one baby, it was a great spot and we were well looked after by the new owners.Very friendly and warm atmosphere, certainly recommend it for a bite to eat with a wine or coffee.Thank you
Firstly, this is no longer a French Restaurant. Two ladies, Bec & Robyn, have updated it to a quaint, rustic and intimate café serving delicious fresh produce. The menu has a good variety of choice to appease all.The service is great, you feel like you are in their home. The ladies are friendly and welcoming.I ordered a vegetable frittata and it came with an amazing tomato relish (which I could have eaten the entire jar!) and my husband ordered the big breakfast. Absolutely YUMMY! And the bonus was GREAT COFFEE too! They also serve all day breakfasts.Yes, we shall be back to try out more of the menu.PS: they also serve cheese platters with wine/beer to you can sit out on the porch and watch the world go by. Check out their website for details.
Bec the owner has started to do monthly themed nights on the last Friday of the month in the evening. On Friday the 30th of July it was English night which 4 of us attended, the restaurant was full and the food was really good starting of with a plowman's lunch (cheese ham etc) then an alternate drop of either fish and chips or beef wellington and bread and butter pudding to finish, all for only $35 each. This month the theme is Christmas in July.Book early because most of the people we spoke to raved over this place.
I had a great time with friends at this restaurant for lunch on a cold, rainy Sunday. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the cozy fire made me want to come back again.
