Stanley's Tavern - Wilmington

This restaurant is quite spacious. We were concerned that we might have to wait about an hour since the parking lot was almost full, but we ended up waiting just 15 minutes. There are TVs everywhere, making it an excellent spot to catch sports games. The wings and ribs were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking on us frequently despite being busy.

My husband and I stopped by for happy hour yesterday and had a really great time. We ate in the bar, service was awesome, food was delicious and the vibe was that of a local place. They have a nice happy hour menu, from which my husband got the Jr. Tavern burger with a small side of fries. He really enjoyed it. I got the shrimp tacos which were nice and spicy, just the way I like them. The shrimp in them was good size too. I would have liked some grated cabbage or lettuce on them, but that’s just my preference. We enjoyed our meal so much that we got a gift certificate for our son and daughter-in-law so they could enjoy a nice night out, seeing as they are new parents.

Cindy was our server, and she was fantastic! She was hilarious and truly delightful.

I've been visiting Stanley's for many years, and I've always enjoyed the food and excellent service. I returned a few days ago for the first time since the pandemic, but I was disappointed to see that the salad bar hasn't been reinstated. On the bright side, I had a delightful Waldorf salad. My only other complaint is that the prices seem quite steep.

A great restaurant, that has a really nice bar and very good food. I really enjoy the barbecue but the menu has a little bit of everything. A ton of parking. The wait staff is great. Check them out!
